Howto: Change Payment Methods in Vanco Online Giving

As of Summer 2026. We realize that many parishioners are affected by bank mergers or take-overs and need to update their checking accounts or reissued bank cards. Here are instructions to make these updates in our online giving system.

By mobile app:

  1. If you do not have the application installed, install it.
    1. First, go to the “Google Play Store” or the Apple “App Store,” depending on your phone choice. 
    2. Search for the application by typing “Vanco Mobile” in the search section of the store app.
    3. Once you see the application, tap “Install” or “Get”
    4. You’ll see a progress indicator, and it will let you know when it is installed. 
    5. Click “Open”
  2. Next, tap on “Log in,” then enter your user ID and password. Tap to choose whether you want to stay signed in. 
  3. Next, look at the top left, where you will see 3 lines (called a “hamburger menu”), tap to open the menu.
  4. Tap “My Account.”
  5. Look down on the screen, and you’ll see “Payment Methods.”
  6. Delete any old payment methods by tapping on the trash can icon next to the numbers. It will ask you to confirm. Once you do, this account will be removed from your Vanco profile. 
  7. To add a new method, tap on “Add new payment method.”
  8. Enter the account information, and then tap “Save.”
  9. Repeat Steps 7 & 8 if you wish to have more than one method to donate.
  10. If you have scheduled donations, you will have to specify this payment method for those schedules.
  11. Once done, look at the top of the screen. Tap on the “<” icon. Then you may “Log out” if you wish.

By computer on a web browser:

  1. Go to our online giving website by clicking this link: Home | Holy Ghost Donation Options or type https://secure.myvanco.com/L-ZFJ1/home
  2. At the top of the screen to the right, click on “Log in”
  3. At this point, a box will pop up asking for your user ID and password to be entered. 
  4. Once accepted, you’ll see a bunch of squares or panels.  Look up to the top right again and click on “Profile”
  5. The screen will change.  Look on the left-hand side and click on “Payment Methods.”  You should see your old account showing the last four digits. Click “Remove.”
  6. If you have other methods to donate and want to delete them, repeat step 5.
  7. If you need to add a new financial account, then click “Home” at the top-left menu. 
  8. Select a category you wish to donate to. 
  9. A new screen will be shown. Enter the amount you wish to donate and whether it should be a one-time or recurring donation. 
  10. Click “One time” or “Recurring.”
  11. For one-time, select the frequency. For example, “Once, now.”
  12. For recurring, enter the date and set an end date if you wish. Add any notes if you want us to know something special about this donation.
  13. Click “Add to Basket.”
  14. A new screen will be shown. Click “Continue to payment.”
  15. On the left-hand side of the screen, you can add a credit card or bank account. Select the appropriate method you prefer and enter the account numbers. 
  16. Ensure that “Save this payment method for future use” is checked. 
  17. Click “Continue to review.”
  18. A new screen appears. Double-check if the amounts are correct, then click “Submit.”  After doing so, this payment method and frequency will be your new online donation method. 
  19. You can exit the application by clicking on “Profile,” then “Log Out” on the left-hand side menu.  
  20. You can now close the browser.
